Troubleshooting Common Website Issues

Getting Things Back on Track

If you encounter an issue while using our website, here are a few common troubleshooting steps you can take that often resolve the problem.

Issue: A Page or Tool Isn't Loading Correctly

Sometimes, your browser might be showing you an older, cached version of a page. A "hard refresh" forces your browser to download a completely new copy of the page from our server.

  • On Windows/Linux (Chrome, Firefox, Edge): Press Ctrl - F5 or Ctrl - Shift - R.
  • On Mac (Chrome, Firefox, Safari): Press Cmd - Shift - R.
  • On Mobile: The process varies, but closing and reopening the browser tab, or clearing the browser's cache in its settings, usually works.

Issue: An Interactive Tool (like a calculator) Isn't Working

This can sometimes be caused by a conflict with a browser extension (like an ad-blocker). To test this:

  1. Try opening the page in an Incognito (Chrome) or Private (Firefox/Safari) window. These modes typically disable extensions by default.
  2. If the tool works in the private window, the issue is likely an extension. Try temporarily disabling your browser extensions one by one to identify the culprit.

Issue: Content Seems Outdated

If you are seeing old information, your browser's cache might be the cause. Clearing your cache can help ensure you are seeing the most up-to-date content. The steps for this vary by browser, but you can typically find the option in your browser's "History" or "Settings" menu under "Clear Browsing Data."

Still Having Trouble?

If you've tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please include a description of the problem, the page you were on, and the browser you are using so we can investigate further.
