Control How Your Data Is Used
FN Pulse gives you granular control over data sharing, visibility, and communication. Use this guide to review settings and keep your account compliant with your personal privacy preferences.
Accessing Privacy Controls
- Sign in and click your avatar → Profile.
- Choose the Privacy tab (desktop) or select Privacy Settings from the dropdown (mobile).
- Review the four sections: Visibility, Communications, Data Sharing, and Data Requests.
Visibility Settings
- Public Profile Elements: Toggle display name, profile photo, and bio visibility to the community.
- Review Attribution: Decide whether reviews show your full name, initials, or "Anonymous".
- Follower List: Choose whether others can see who you follow.
- Activity Feed Sharing: Opt in/out of showing liked articles or bookmarked tools.
Tip: If you collaborate with partners or clients, enable public attribution for credibility while keeping personal details private.
Communication Preferences
- Manage direct messages (allow from everyone, followers only, or disabled).
- Set comment notifications for replies, mentions, or community highlights.
- Control email updates for security alerts, new features, and partner promotions.
For security, critical account alerts remain enabled even if marketing emails are disabled.
Data Sharing & Integrations
- Connected Apps: View and revoke third-party integrations (e.g., CRM exports, analytics tools).
- API Access: See active API tokens and scopes; regenerate or disable as needed.
- Cookie Settings: Adjust tracking for analytics, personalization, and advertising cookies.
- AI Personalization: Toggle whether AI features store preferences to improve recommendations.

Data Rights & Requests
- Download Your Data: Request an export of profile info, reviews, tool presets, and chat history (delivered within 48 hours).
- Request Deletion: Initiate account deletion; verify via email. All data purged within 30 days unless regulatory requirements apply.
- Consent History: View when you agreed to Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and marketing consent.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot change visibility? Ensure you're not part of an ongoing compliance investigation; contact support.
- Data export delayed? Check spam folder for download link; requests expire after 7 days.
