Asian Session (Tokyo)
Time: 12:00 AM - 9:00 AM GMT Pairs: USD/JPY, AUD/USD, NZD/USD Characteristics:

London Session
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM GMT Pairs: All EUR and GBP pairs Characteristics:

- Average EUR/USD range: 80-120 pips
New York Session
Time: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM GMT Pairs: All USD pairs Characteristics:
- High volatility
- Strong moves during overlap with London
- Major economic releases (NFP, CPI)
- Average EUR/USD range: 70-100 pips

London-New York Overlap
Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM GMT (4 hours) Volume: Highest of the day Best pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY Volatility: Maximum
This is when 70%+ of daily forex volume occurs. Best time for day trading.
Asian-London Overlap
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM GMT (1 hour) Volume: Moderate Best pairs: EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY
